2:26 pm	Poems; writen here so I can find them easily lol The Market Economy ~ Marge Piercy 1 Suppose some peddler offered 2 you can have a color TV 3 but your baby will be 4 born with a crooked spine; 5 you can have polyvinyl cups 6 and wash and wear 7 suits but it will cost 8 your left lung 9 rotted with cancer; suppose 10 somebody offered you 11 a precooked dinner 12 every night for ten years 13 but at the end 14 your colons dies 15 and then you do, 16 slowly and with much pain. 17 You get a house in the suburbs 18 but you work in a new plastics 19 factory and die at fifty-one 20 when your kidneys turn off. 21 But where else will you work? 22 Where else can 23 you rent but smog City 24 The only houses for sale 25 are under the yellow sky. 26 You've been out of work for 27 a year and they're hiring 28 at the plastics factory. 29 Don't read the fine print, 30 There isn't any.
